Gearing up, again!

I've been thinking about my blog alot lately and wanting to get it going again. I read a LOT of mommy, crafty type blogs and enjoy them so much. I'd like to share.

Wow -- Time Flies!

I can't believe that it's been a year and a half since I've posted to my blog. I had such good intentions when I started this. Needless to say, life sometimes has other plans. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so let this explain my absence. :) Those who know me know how she snuck in and shook up my world. I'll share the details with everyone else soon.

Finished Quilt Top

I saw this quilt on an episode of Will & Grace and knew I had to have it. I sat up in bed that night sketching it out so that I could remember what it looked like. I thought it would be easy to make. HA! A beginning quilter should NOT try to make a quilt without a pattern! It didn't turn out exactly as planned, but it's finished and I like it. I'm still working on the back and hoping to get it to the quilter tomorrow.

First Signs of Spring in Franklin, TN

The weather is gorgeous in Franklin this weekend! I went out to check the mail and this little cutie surprised me sticking up out of the ground. I planted about 200 bulbs in my front yard and most of them are starting to poke up. It should be really pretty around here in a few weeks.














The quilt shop also had some fun Spring blooms. I bought this little flowerpot full of 4.5" squares. The blue butterfly fabric is the outer border and the orange strip is the inner border. The kit also came with a package of flower seeds. Fun fun!
